At ONS 2024, GTH CEO Paal Skoe delivered a presentation that highlighted our groundbreaking work in Canada, focusing on carbon capture and waste-to-energy. The presentation showcased GTH's innovative approaches to addressing environmental challenges through sustainable energy solutions.

GTH’s presence at the conference underscored our commitment to advancing sustainable energy solutions, particularly through our projects in Canada. These projects are setting new benchmarks in the fields of carbon capture and waste-to-energy. By sharing our experiences and successes, GTH hopefully contributed to the ongoing dialogue about the future of energy at one of the industry's most important gatherings.

In addition to the presentation, GTH was prominently featured at the conference with Carbon Circle’s stand, where they further engaged with industry experts and showcased their latest technological and corporate advancements. The interest for CCS was definitely high among conference participants.

GTH subsidiary Varme Energy Signs 15-year Waste Agreement with City of Edmonton

Varme Energy Inc., a subsidiary of GTH, has signed a waste agreement with the City of Edmonton. Scheduled to start by 2027, the initiative aims to divert 150,000 tonnes of residential waste from landfills each year. The project will see the construction of an advanced waste-to-energy facility in Edmonton, focused on sustainable waste management, energy generation and CCS.

GTH sells its shares in Green Bio AS

OSLO – Dec 20, 2022 – Green Transition Holding (GTH) has signed an agreement to sell its 49% ownership Green Bio, a bio energy development and asset owning company. Green Bio was established in 2021 to develop a bio energy district heating platform in Norway. Following a year and a half of development, GTH has decided to divest its shareholding. Today Green Bio owns ten operating bio energy plants, with a yearly production of about 20 GWh, as well as one large greenfield project under development. “This has been a successful journey for GTH, developing the Green Bio platform and generating value for both GTH and the other shareholders over the last year and a half. We would like to thank Partner Energy for the partnership and wish them all the best for future growth.” says Paal Skoe, CEO GTH. GTH will use the proceeds from the transaction to further invest in the energy transition.
