GTH’s attends Energy-from-Waste 2022 conference in London

Green Transition Holding (GTH) is pleased to announce that we will be attending the Energy-from-Waste 2022 conference hosted by EfW Net on the 9th-10th March 2022 in London. GTH is looking forward to meeting current and future customers and having an active role at the conference both as speakers and with a conference stand.



The conference is a premier event in the UK and Europe for senior level decision makers across the energy to waste sector. Covers important topics such as decarbonization, circular economy aspects, financing, project delivery, thermal heating, the latest technology developments and much more.

Varme Energy Inc., a subsidiary of GTH, has signed a waste agreement with the City of Edmonton. Scheduled to start by 2027, the initiative aims to divert 150,000 tonnes of residential waste from landfills each year. The project will see the construction of an advanced waste-to-energy facility in Edmonton, focused on sustainable waste management, energy generation and CCS.

OSLO – Dec 20, 2022 – Green Transition Holding (GTH) has signed an agreement to sell its 49% ownership Green Bio, a bio energy development and asset owning company. Green Bio was established in 2021 to develop a bio energy district heating platform in Norway. Following a year and a half of development, GTH has decided to divest its shareholding. Today Green Bio owns ten operating bio energy plants, with a yearly production of about 20 GWh, as well as one large greenfield project under development. “This has been a successful journey for GTH, developing the Green Bio platform and generating value for both GTH and the other shareholders over the last year and a half. We would like to thank Partner Energy for the partnership and wish them all the best for future growth.” says Paal Skoe, CEO GTH. GTH will use the proceeds from the transaction to further invest in the energy transition.

Working through their Corporate Division, Neyaskweyahk Group of Companies, Ermineskin Cree Nation is exploring investment in Varme-run waste-to-energy projects throughout Alberta, including major new facilities. Ermineskin Cree Nation, located just south of Wetaskiwin, is eager to explore the opportunity to invest in leading-edge facilities that will create jobs, reduce emissions, generate energy, and shrink landfills, using technology that has had decades of success in Europe. “Our nation is focused on building a strong and vibrant economy that will support our families for generations to come.
