Robert Hvide Macleod to join the Green Transition Holding Board of Directors

Green Transition Holding (ticker code: GTH) announces that Robert Hvide Macleod will join its Board of Directors. Following the appointment, the Board will comprise of Eirik Flatebø (Chairman), Dag Schjerven (Director), Svein Flåtten (Director), Christopher Vanay (Director), Sigbjørn Bråtane (Director) and Robert Hvide Macleod (Director). In aggregate, the board holds approximately 1.5 million shares, representing approximately 12% of the shares outstanding.

Mr Macleod holds significant international experience, and we expect that his expertise will prove valuable in the growth and development of GTH. He worked for AP Møller Maersk 2001-2004, Glencore International 2004-2011 and he served as the CEO of Frontline Management in the period 2014-2020. He now runs a portfolio of private equity investments and a number of them are in the renewables sector. GTH has recently been added to the portfolio and he currently controls 1% of the outstanding shares

Varme Energy Inc., a subsidiary of GTH, has signed a waste agreement with the City of Edmonton. Scheduled to start by 2027, the initiative aims to divert 150,000 tonnes of residential waste from landfills each year. The project will see the construction of an advanced waste-to-energy facility in Edmonton, focused on sustainable waste management, energy generation and CCS.
